Intention without the Action

Another obstacle to becoming a better Christians is intention without the action. I know this is a general scenario to all of us and this is not as new as one. Intention to become a better person fails when action is not being apply and this is we encounter everyday.

Some people wants to be Christ like but they don’t put it into action, some wants to stop their vice but it’s just intention, some wants to make change in their life but it’s just want and do nothing. We must know that one good action is better than a thousand good intentions. Intentions don’t do anything, but actions do. So, we will not measure by our intention. We must put all of our intention into action and that’s Light And Cross wants you to be as Chrsitians.

As a Christian, do we have any intention to be more effective Christian? So as a handle of any ministry in the church like to sing, to play music, or to be one of its instructor? Are these is your intention? How long these intention could be? We must do anything to be more effective Christians as you want you to be. If you will just depend in your intention, you will be possessed by regret. And that is one of the saddest load to carry in life. We must build a policy in your own life a we live in this world that everything will change if we do some action. We can start it right now and right here.

After reading this, I have a challenge for you. Do we have any intention in our life as a “Christians”? If so, “make some move”.

Who’s Gonna Receive the Blessings?

All people surely want blessings. Many of us always ask it. It is either material things, money, love miscellaneous, job, and so on… But the most commonly fail with the people who then receive such blessing is forgetting the purpose of why they receive it. The worst of it is they forget the giver of these blessings. I’m pointing to the all Christians.

Below are some example of the people who seek for the blessing but fail to understand it.

  • People often seek after the blessings, yet forget to seek the giver of the blessing.
  • People usually cry-out loud for the blessing, yet when blessing come they forget to thank God.
  • They always want to go back to their former way of life when it is hard for them to face a situation.

Those such people can never receive God’s blessing. Actually the listed above is just a few scenario when compare to all reasons of the people mistakes.

Who then, can receive God’s blessing?

Take the verse 8 of Numbers chapter 14. As the scripture says:

If the Lord is pleased with us, He will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey and will give it to us.

Numbers 14:8, NIV

Joshua and Caleb said to the entire Israelite assembly that the Land they passed through and explored is exceedingly good. The land is promised to them by the Lord. Joshua and Caleb trusted the Lord as He promise that land to them. I guess you pointed out the keyword of receiving the blessing. Yes “TRUST and OBEDIENCE”. If we obey the Lord and trust in Him at all times, we will surely get the blessing we have as the Lord planned for us. Just stay back in your place and feel the presence of the Lord in your heart and assumed that wherever you are , there’s always a time to do trusting and obeying the Lord. So please be careful enough to all the things you have planned and always remember that all things should done by the will and glory of God.

Give Your Life to Jesus

Have you ever entered into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? Perhaps you may realize you have some unfinished business to do with God. Or maybe you walked away from God years ago and you would like to recommit your life to Him. If what you’ve read speaks to your heart, if you sense God irresistibly drawing you to Himself, then what would keep you from giving your life to Him? This is now the time to give your life you Jesus and as part of Light And Cross, I want you to do this as mine has already gave to Him. I said this following prayer; perhaps you are now ready to the same.

Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner, I have acted independently of You. I confess I have done things my way. I have made a decision to turn away from my sins and turn to You. Jesus, I believe You are God just as You have said. You died for my sins and rose again from the dead so that I might live eternally with You. Come into my heart. Come into my life and live in me. Make me all the person You have planned for me to become. Thank you for forgiving me my sins, and for coming into my life.

If you said this prayer with heartfelt sincerity to the God, then you are now His child. You are now a bearer of His identity. You will never be the same again. God has called you and named you!

Things We Should Know

This is the first entry of Light And Cross and I just want you to come up the things that you should know to make changes. It is important to see the difference of life when Jesus is in your heart and you should make a difference.

In our everyday life, we encounter obviously things like work, crisis, depression etc… and we should know that all these things have a reason and we should see “see how all things are from Him and through Him and to Him” (Rome 11:36).

I pick some words here to help us evaluate ourselves and to know the importance of everything that has been done and exists.

  • Angels: Beings who perfectly obey and reflect His Glory.
  • Church: (the): People through whom God wants display His Glory.
  • Crisis: An opportunity to show God more Glory.
  • Crucifixion: Jesus’ (and the Father’s) commitment to upholding the worth of His glory.
  • Demons: Once-angelic beings who have chosen to reject God’s glory and follow Satan’s empty glory.
  • Depression: An emotional or psychological reaction to not trusting in the glory of God.
  • Faith: Trusting in the glory of God.
  • Grace: God giving us His glory when we don’t deserve it.
  • Hell: An everlasting punishment for desecrating and rejecting an infinite glory.
  • Impatience: Not resting in God’s glorious timing.
  • Justification: God seeing His glory in our lives.
  • Lust/Greed: Choosing someone or something to be more precious than God’s glory.
  • Marriage: A commitment to reflecting the glory of God to one special person and to foreshadow the relationship of Jesus to the Church.
  • Parenting: Reflecting the glory of God to the children in your care and training them in the ways of His glory.
  • Prayer: Calling upon God to reveal His glory.
  • Pride: Directing God’s glory our way.
  • Salvation: Falling in love with God’s glory.
  • Sanctification: God’s glory being worked into our lives.
  • Satan: A being who chose to reject God’s glory and seek His own and who therefore contrasts the glory of God.
  • School: An opportunity to grow in knowledge so that we can learn how to better express God’s glory.
  • Sin: Any action or thought that challenges the worth of God’s glory.
  • Spiritual Gifts: A special opportunity to reveal the glory of God.
  • Suffering (for God): A magnification of the worth of the glory of the Father!
  • Work: An opportunity to bring God glory through the gifts and talents He has given to you.
  • Worship: Radiating God’s glory back to Him.

I hope that this entry will be shared by others. Thanks and God Bless…
